Flashback of some LOs

I plan on posting the new work that I do but in the mean time here are some of my favorites from the book that I made for Reese, my friend Shannon's daughter...

All Here is Reese sleeping when she was 6 weeks old. I love this picture because she looks like such a little doll. I used a lot of Tim Holtz distressing ink in Broken China on this LO and even inked the ribbon on the right.

Here is Miss Reese at the hospital when she was 4 hours old. I clipped her birth announcement from the paper for it too. I framed the picture using prima flowers, cutting them in half & gluing them under the photo. I distressed the edges of the paper & stamped the corners and added some pearls.

I love this colorful LO. This is Reese playing outside this summer. My favorite thing about this page are the ribbon and eyelets. I wanted to fit all the pictures bc they were all so cute so I cut them in circles to get them to fit. I then punched eyelets and threaded blue ribbon through to create a border around the circle. I added more circles with the pps & flowers.

An all purple LO... I wanted to use purple to match her shirt and it turned into all different shades of purple, which is fine because I love the color. This was my first time using cardboard, I love the look of it on LOs and you can do so much with it. I painted it purple obviously and used it to matte the photo. I also inked it with Tim Holtz ink in Dusty Concord and did a lot of inking of the rest of the page. I added some flowers and pearls, eyelet letters from Making Memories, and spelt her name with the playing cards. I tried to make it look distressed while still keeping it bright and girly.

Reese's Firsts. I love this picture of her, she was 6 months old here but I wanted to use it on this page with a list of her firsts (up until August). I kept it simple because the journaling is supposed to be the main focus and added a few other details. I tore & inked the journaling to make it look distressed & aged and inked the edges of the page. I did a big tear in the paper with stitching just to add a little something so it wasn't too simple. I've been trying to think of a way to add a journaling card so her mom can write down more of her firsts (she'll be walking soon) but I just can't come up with anything good so for now it'll stay like this and maybe make a new LO for her next firsts... :-)

Those are a few of my favorite LOs... to see more check out my gallery at scrapbook.com:
